آپ سے یہ اہل کتاب درخواست کرتے ہیں کہ آپ ان کے پاس کوئی آسمانی کتاب ﻻئیں، حضرت موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) سے تو انہوں نے اس سے بہت بڑی درخواست کی تھی کہ ہمیں کھلم کھلا اللہ تعالیٰ کو دکھا دے، پس ان کے اس ﻇلم کے باعﺚ ان پر کڑاکے کی بجلی آ پڑی پھر باوجودیکہ ان کے پاس بہت دلیلیں پہنچ چکی تھیں انہوں نے بچھڑے کو اپنا معبود بنا لیا، لیکن ہم نے یہ بھی معاف فرما دیا اور ہم نے موسیٰ کو کھلا غلبہ (اور صریح دلیل) عنایت فرمائی

O ye who feel! Profane not Allah's monuments nor the Sacred Thirty day period nor the offerings nor the garlands, nor those fixing towards the Sacred Dwelling, trying to get the grace and satisfaction of their Lord. But when ye have left the sacred territory, then go looking (if ye will).

(ऐ रसूल) तुमसे लोग पूंछते हैं कि कौन (कौन) चीज़ उनके लिए हलाल की गयी है तुम (उनसे) कह दो कि तुम्हारे लिए पाकीज़ा चीजें हलाल की गयीं और शिकारी जानवर जो तुमने शिकार के लिए सधा रखें है और जो (तरीके) ख़ुदा ने तुम्हें बताये हैं उनमें के कुछ तुमने उन जानवरों को भी सिखाया हो तो ये शिकारी जानवर जिस शिकार को तुम्हारे लिए पकड़ रखें उसको (बेताम्मुल) खाओ और (जानवर को छोंड़ते वक्त) ख़ुदा का नाम ले लिया करो और ख़ुदा से डरते रहो (क्योंकि) इसमें तो शक ही नहीं कि ख़ुदा बहुत जल्द हिसाब लेने वाला है

बल्कि ख़ुदा ने उन्हें अपनी तरफ़ उठा लिया और ख़ुदा तो बड़ा ज़बरदस्त तदबीर वाला है

وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ وَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ نَحْنُ أَبْنَـٰٓؤُا۟ ٱللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّـٰٓؤُهُۥ ۚ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُم ۖ بَلْ أَنتُم بَشَرٌۭ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

Have they not travelled all through the land to determine what was the tip of Individuals ˹destroyed˺ before them? They had been far exceptional in may possibly; they cultivated the land and created it in excess of these ˹Meccans˺ ever have.
